A Bedtime Story That Became a Book
This month, Becoming A Young CEO is proud to spotlight 13-year-old Noa Shaw, a talented young writer whose love for her family, writing, and the Lord helped turn a simple bedtime tradition into something much bigger.
Noa's journey as an author didn't begin with plans to write a book. It started at home. At night, Noa would use her imagination to create stories to tell her younger brother and sister before bed. What began as special moments between siblings eventually grew into an entire story and a dream worth pursuing.
That story became
Jewelaria.
Noa later participated in the Becoming A Young CEO Young Writers Pitch Contest, where young writers were given the opportunity to pitch their original book ideas. Noa shared the story that once entertained her brother and sister at night, and her creativity and vision earned her the opportunity to have her book professionally published.
Now, at just 13 years old, Noa is taking her story from her family's bedtime routine to the pages of her very own book.
Her journey is a powerful example for other young people: sometimes your biggest idea starts with something you already love doing. A story told at bedtime, a drawing in a notebook, a recipe made in the kitchen, or an idea created for fun could be the beginning of something extraordinary.
